Try This for That: Essential oils…

oils2

Okay, so whether you’re an avid Young Living oil purchaser or just new to oil droppin’, you’ve probably noticed some of your favorite oils out of stock lately. I know it’s frustrating, believe me. One encouraging thing I take from it is that Young Living refuses to settle for quality, which is why things tend to go out of stock. They want to make sure they’re distributing the “good stuff” lol. So just find encouragement through it.

Meanwhile…while you’re anticipating your favorites, try these cool, possibly new favorite subs!

Dreamcatcher for Peace & Calming.

Since Peace & Calming is very popular and in and out of stock, you can try Dreamcatcher instead! The two oils actually have a lot of the same species of plants, therefore (duh) similar effect! One neat thing about Peace & Calming is the soothing effect it has on children. Dreamcatcher has very similar effects that draw children in as well : ). Other great sleep aides are Cedarwood, Lavender, Valerian, and RutaVala.

Elemi for Frankincense.

Ok, so they don’t call it “the poor man’s frankincense” for nothing. Elemi comes from the same family as that of the frankincense tree, therefore possessing a lot of the same effects as well. It is very potent against inflammation and skin issues just like that of it’s cousin Frankincense. It’s a quarter of the price as well! So give this one a whirl!

Hormone Help for when Progessence Plus is out…

There are a few different oils when it comes to hormone balance within the body. Endoflex is a great broad coverage oil for the entire endocrine system as a whole, so it’s great to start there. Next, you have Clary Sage. This oil helps to balance estrogen and relieves symptoms of pms and menopause. It is a great must have for the female reproductive system! Another oil that is beneficial for hormone balance is Dragon Time. This oil is also known to relieve symptoms associated with various hormone imbalance, especially in woman 30 yrs old and younger.

Oils for Inflammation to possibly interchange for Copaiba and/or Panaway…

If you want the cooling effect, you can pair any of the anti-inflammatory oils with either Wintergreen or Peppermint. It’s good to apply the “cooling” oils last by layering them over the other oils to drive them in deeper. Other oils that are potent against inflammation are: Aroma Siez, HelichrysumIdaho Balsam FirWhite Fir, & Basil! Have fun trying out your favorites! If I don’t have Copaiba and/or Panaway, I LOVE to pair Peppermint and Idaho Balsam Fir!

Raven and/or Eucalyptus Radiata for RC

Because of the popularity of RC as well, it’s hard to keep it in stock, especially during the cold/flu season. Raven is a blend very similar to RC. It contains many of the same species of plants that RC includes with just a few missing. If applied on the chest during sickness, you can place a warm wet rag or heating pad (on low) to allow pores to open up and vessels in your lungs to dilate. This allows oils to absorb rapidly and allows for clear breathing passageways. You can use Eucalyptus Radiata in the same way.

Aroma Siez and Inspiration for Valor

If you are searching for a muscle relaxer and/or mood lifter, these two oils are great to use as well. Many of the same components in Valor are also found in Inspiration oil so give it a try and apply just like you would with Valor!

Peppermint and Fennel for DiGize

DiGize, one of my must haves, tends to go in and out of stock as well unfortunately. As you may have heard, peppermint is great for any stomach issue. If you are suffering with stubborn severe cramping, and DiGize isn’t in stock, try pairing peppermint in capsules with Fennel! If you notice, both Peppermint and Fennel are both in DiGize! Go figure! : )

A good piece of advice I can give you about finding replacement oils it to look at the components within the blends and compare them to other oils with similar combinations. Know your oils. Know how to apply your oils. Don’t be afraid to try something new and experience them by allowing healing to take place within your body. It may not be instant, but give it some time. There aren’t very many TRUE healing instances that are quick acting. It takes time for your body to respond and repair itself naturally.

I hope this is beneficial to you in some way during the times of your go-to oils being out of stock! Comment below if you have any questions or if you are needing info on other replacement ideas!

  1. Great post! Thanks for the info! Out of stocks can be frustrating, but it’s great to know there are alternatives.
