Yes, you read that title right… Camper bedroom makeover for under $40.
So where did I start?
Well, I start on Pinterest and Google images gathering every bit of inspiration I can find then I make my trips to Hobby Lobby for my daily therapy sessions.
I gather inspiration every where so I can basically do my own DIY cheaper versions of them because let’s face it… I’m on a budget.
Ewww I hate that word.
So I found this designer wallpaper that I absolutely loved, but for the itty bitty space I wanted it for, it would have been far from an itty bitty price. Making my own “wallpaper” it is.

Time consuming and taxing on the eyes, neck and back yes, but rewarding none the less. Because I needed to cover such a small area, I managed to pick my two colors in both sample size containers. Score!….and I still have some left over! I also painted over the existing camper wallpaper with ease. I used an eggshell finish. Some stores you can only get a certain finish in the sample sizes. Either would work I’m sure. So all in all the paint costed me around $8! Insert dancing emoji.
Now for the pillows…
It’s called pillow case aisle in Hobby Lobby. The camper came with existing pillows for the couch which of course I hated. I found these two gray pillow cases to cover them on sale for $4.25 each!! SCORE AGAIN!! The black and white cover, drum roll…$2!!! I had an existing older pillow that I used for that one too! The bedding I already had. When you have a camper, you really can get by with using your own bedding and just switch back and forth. Not ideal, but when you’re on a budget, you work with what you have. Also to note, when you’re getting inspiration from things, it’s just an idea of the style you’re going for. Don’t be so set getting the actual items because you will miss out on other goodies way cheaper, but similar style and execution. (Hence, the pillow cases that were on sale 😉 )
The plants on the top shelf I also got on sale at Hobby Lobby. I basically hit a week where a bunch of home goods were 50% off which happens a lot. I picked whatever small containers I liked that were half off then made a trip down the ole greenery aisle. You have to watch the prices on those, they can be sneaky. I picked very small sprigs that were half off and made them work. I wanted to have them hanging off the shelf to give some dimension. The plants in all costed me around $8 too!!!
The wood lettering above the bed wasn’t on sale, but nothing a good ole online 40% off coupon couldn’t fix!!!
So there you have it! Bedroom makeover for under $40!!!
Stay tuned for some more Nicholson camper makeovers!!
